No Jobs for Trainee pharmacists, Doctors Despite Shortage

Over two hundred doctors and pharmacists are sitting at home because places for them to do internships or community service in public hospitals have not yet been found.

The Junior Doctor’s Association of South Africa says another 125 recently qualified doctors can’t get jobs in hospitals because of lack of space.

Both these professions are considered critical skills within the country.
